It may seem that Dream Singles is just a place full of dreams. I mean, a plethora of beautiful, young Russian women looking to settle down so young? Can’t be. Well, welcome to Russia.

Surprising? It shouldn’t be.

The importance of tradition in Russia is like none other. From a young age, Russian women are taught that the importance in life is to have a family to care for. Russian women are brought up according to a set of family values that encourages them to seek out “the one” by the age of 25.

Education and career are both important steps in Russian culture that come before settling down and having a family. This is done in order to be financially stable. In Russia, the term “full-time student” means precisely that. There is not much room for much else besides school work. As the curriculum at Russian universities tends to be intensely demanding and time-consuming, the average age of college students in Ukraine and Russia can range anywhere from 17 to 22 years old.

Careers are built before the family is. Upon graduation from university, future spouses will seek a career in which they could advance and succeed within. Once they’ve accomplished this, they will begin their family.

Living Quarters

Because they’ve begun their career, young newlyweds hope to be able to buy their own home together. In most cases, this is not something that is easily achieved at such a young age and time in life. Some families gift the newlyweds a new home or the means to buy one, while others may continue to rent an apartment or home. It is not uncommon for newlyweds or young couples to live with their parents as well, as a means to save money. Because family is of large importance in Russia, extended family may live together, including grandparents, parents, and children. More common today, young couples move into their own space and get together with family on the weekends over a shared meal.

So while it may seem like a dream that is too good to be true, it isn’t. Young Russian women actually are looking to settle down in their 20s, as this is the strong line of the family tradition they live by. They are of the most loyal women and are dedicated to taking care of their husband, children, and home.
